Vol. 434 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Coroners' Reports.

Ivor Callely

Question:

101 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice if her Department receives annual reports from county coroners; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Section 55 (1) of the Coroners' Act, 1962 obliges every coroner to furnish the Minister for Justice with an annual written return of inquests held and deaths inquired into in the coroner's district. Returns under Section 55 are to be in such form as the Minister for Justice may from time to time direct.
