Business of Dáil: Motion.

I move:

(1) That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders the arrangements for the sittings of the Dáil from Tuesday, 9 November until Thursday, 11 November, inclusive, shall be in accordance with the schedule and the provisions following:

Tuesday

4.30-6 p.m.

Private Members' Business.

6-7 p.m.

Adjournment matters in accordance with paragraph (3) below.

Wednesday

10.30 a.m.

Announcement by the Taoiseach of Committee business for the day to which the rules on the Order of Business proper shall apply, on the conclusion of which the sitting shall be suspended until 4.30 p.m.

4.30-6 p.m.

Private Members' Business.

6 p.m.

Adjournment matters in accordance with Standing Order 20.

Thursday

10.30 a.m.

Announcement by the Taoiseach of Committee business for the day to which the rules on the Order of Business proper shall apply, on the conclusion of which the sitting shall be suspended until 4.30 p.m.

4.30 p.m.

Adjournment matters in accordance with Standing Order 20.

(2) Oral Questions shall not be taken.

(3) On Tuesday, the procedures relating to raising matters on the adjournment under Standing Order 20 shall apply except that the Ceann Comhairle shall select three matters upon which the Member concerned may make a ten minute speech and the Minister or Minister of State in each case shall be entitled to not more than ten minutes for a speech in reply.

(4) The Ceann Comhairle shall advise the Dáil of the matters in respect of which notice has been given and those selected under Standing Order 20 (3) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and at 4.30 p.m. on Thursday.
