Vol. 435 No. 9

Written Answers. - Killygarry (Cavan) School.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

269 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to build a new primary school at Killygarry, County Cavan; if this building project is included in the 1994 Estimates for her Department; if her attention has been drawn to the condition of the present school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the poor condition of the present school building. My Department has agreed in principle to grant-aid a new school. The suitability of a site which has been offered by the school authorities is being assessed and my Department will be in communication shortly with the Chairman of the Board of Management.
