Vol. 435 No. 9

Written Answers. - Mortgage Interest Supplement Application.

Tony Gregory

Question:

138 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in processing the appeal for mortgage interest supplement on behalf of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3.

An applicant who is dissatisfied with the decision of a health board in relation to an application for Supplementary Welfare Allowance may appeal the decision to the Board's Appeals Officer.

The Appeals Officer in the Eastern Health Board has been contacted concerning the person in question and I understand that a decision on her appeal will be conveyed to her shortly.
