Pat Upton

Question:

115 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice the number of parliamentary questions for oral and written answer, respectively, tabled to her Department since the formation of the present Government; and the total cost of dealing with these questions.

The number of parliamentary questions tabled to the Minister for Justice since the Government's formation to date is 1,104. Of these, 386 were oral and 718 were written questions. It is not possible to give the total cost involved in answering the Questions without carrying out detailed and costly research into the work that was involved in the preparation of the answer to each and every question.
