130 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Marine if his Department has been responsible for commissioning reports and/or inquiries over the past five years; if so, the nature and number of these; their cost; the number published or awaiting publication.

Notes:

* Chairman of Inquiry ruled that each party to Inquiry should bear their own costs. Costs incurred by the Minister for the Marine in holding the Inquiry, payable by the applicant, Dingle Skellig Hotel Limited, in accordance with the provisions of the Foreshore Act, 1933, have been fixed by the Minister for Finance at £49,399. The Chief State Solicitor has been instructed to issue proceedings to recover these costs.

** Costs initially paid by the Department of the Marine were reimbursed by Dublin Corporation as the permit holder.

*** Cost to be recouped from Waterford Harbour Commissioners.
