143 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if his Department has been responsible for commissioning reports and/or inquiries over the past five years; if so, the nature and number of these; their cost; the number published or awaiting publication.
Since the establishment on 20 January 1993, this Department has not been responsible for commissioning any reports or inquiries.
However, in accordance with a commitment in the Programming for a Partnership Government, 1993-97, I appointed a task force on the travelling community in June this year to assist me in co-ordinating and implementing Government policy on travellers.
