Question:

29 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education the number of people who have enrolled on vocational training opportunities scheme programmes in the academic year 1993/1994; and if she has any plans for increasing the numbers on the scheme for the 1994/1995 academic year.

The latest information available to my Department indicates that 3,270 participants have enrolled for 1993-94.

Confirmation of the number of places which will be available in 1994-95 and subsequent years must await finalisation of the Estimates for Public Services.
