Question:177 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding improvements to a school (details supplied) in County Laois.

Detailed drawings and bills of quantities for the provision of an extension to replace unsatisfactory prefabricated accommodation at this school have recently been submitted to my Department by the vocational education committee. When the examination of this documentation has been satisfactorily completed the project will be ready to go to tender.
This is one of the projects which will be considered for inclusion in the 1994 capital programme. A decision on the projects to proceed to contract in 1994 will be taken when the allocation for 1994 has been approved.
