Vol. 436 No. 5

Written Answers. - Office of Public Works Rental Income.

Pat Upton

Question:

114 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the rent paid to the Office of Public Works in respect of the leasing of board premises to private individuals for restaurants or heritage purposes for each county-administrative area.

I am unable to supply details of rent paid in respect of the letting of premises at heritage sites because of the commercial nature of the operations involved, whereby concessions are let on the basis of competitive tendering.

Tearooms, which form part of visitor facilities, are let at the following centres:

Dublin

Ashtown Visitor Centre, Phoenix Park Phoenix Park Tearooms St. Enda's Historic Park, Rathfarnham

Donegal

Glebe Gallery, Glenveagh Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre
