215 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that Dunderrow national school, Kinsale, County Cork has been included in the list of seriously substandard schools in the INTO survey; and the steps, if any, that are being taken to remedy the matter.

I am aware of the unsatisfactory conditions at this school. My Department is currently examining the various options available to improve the facilities in the school.

216 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that Kilbrittain national school, County Cork has been included in the list of seriously substandard schools in the INTO survey; and the steps, if any, that are being taken to remedy the matter.

The provision of a new national school for Kilbrittain, County Cork has been approved and the project was included in the 1993 primary school building programme. Construction work is expected to begin very shortly.
