Vol. 436 No. 7

Written Answers. - Departmental Representations.

Pat Upton

Question:

122 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice the total number of representations received by her Department since the formation of the Government from Members of the Oireachtas and the general public respectively; and the cost of dealing with these representations.

The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available and would have to be specially compiled. This could only be done by diverting scarce staff resources from more pressing tasks, a course which could not, in my opinion, be justified.
