Written Answers. - Annual Capitation Grant.

Question:

122 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education if she has completed her examination of the circumstances surrounding the withholding or the payment of the annual capitation grant and vocational education committee allocation to the students union at Donogh O'Malley Regional Technical College, Letterkenny, County Sligo; if so, the action, if any, she proposes to take in the matter; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has now been advised by the Director of the College that agreement was reached on 6 December between the Students' Union and a Working Party of the Governing Body on proposals for payment of the capitation grant and the regional technical college allocation to the Students' Union. These proposals will be put to the next meeting of the Governing Body who are expected to accept them and then release the funds.
