Question:45 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the position concerning the provision of a rescue unit in Mullingar, County Westmeath, to service the lakes in the midlands.

The provision of rescue services on the midland lakes is not a matter which falls within the area of responsibility of the Commissioners of Public Works. I am not in a position therefore to provide the information sought by the Deputy.
