Vol. 437 No. 2

Written Answers. - GTN Link.

Pat Cox

Question:

57 Mr. Cox asked the Minister for Justice if it is the case that anybody in the 01 area can call the Department of Justice in Killarney, County Kerry, at a local telephone call rate while someone living in Tralee or Castleisland is obliged to make a trunk call to ring those same offices; and, if so, the proposals, if any, she has to remedy this matter.

Any person who rings the main Dublin telephone number of the Department can be connected to the Killarney Office via the Government Telecommunications Network (GTN) link, callers from the 01 area can be connected to Killarney at a local telephone call rate.

It is not possible to achieve this where no GTN link applies.
