Vol. 437 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

471 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a headage grant and beef premium payment will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Under the cattle headage scheme and suckler cow premium scheme approval of applications is subject to inspections, with or without notice, of each applicant's cattle. As the person named did not present his cattle when requested to do so by inspectors of my Department who visited him on 16 September 1993, no grants are payable to him.
