Question:604 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education if it is proposed to increase the one hour per week provision for a visiting teacher in respect of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13.
Written Answers. - Visiting Teacher Provision.
The current level of provision for the child in question was made possible by the recent extension of the visiting teacher service to include additional Downs Syndrome children.
While I am keeping the operation of this new arrangement under ongoing review, I would not see any immediate scope for an increase in the level of service which is being provided at present.
