Vol. 438 No. 2

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

74 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment the size of the allocation received by his Department from national lottery funds in 1993; the organisations to which these funds were allocated; the criteria applied in deciding which organisations were to receive funds; if there is a standard procedure through which applications are processed; if there is a standard application form available for organisations seeking grants; and, if so, is there an annual closing date for receipt of application forms.

A provision of £1.671 million was made in my Department's Vote last year to cover the payment of grants allocated under the amenities-recreational facilities grants schemes of 1990 and 1991. No provision for a new grants scheme was made in 1993 and there is no such provision in the Estimate for 1994.
