Question:204 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he intends to lift the present restrictions on the sale of milk quota whereby quota must be accompanied by land in any transaction.

National legislation to implement an EU regulation governing the milk quota regime adopted last year is currently in preparation. The question of flexibility in the land-quota link is being considered in that context.
