73 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the number of participants on social employment schemes who have had their period extended as a result of the decision communicated by his Department in mid-November 1993; and the average period of extension granted.

By the end of January 1994, 1,290 participants on the social employment scheme had their participation on the scheme extended for varying periods of up to six months.
