Question:53 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine his policy for the enhancement of the Dublin Bay area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand from clarification sought from the Deputy in relation to his question, that he is concerned about the environmental policy of the Dublin Port and Docks Board, particularly in relation to the port's northern perimeter. The Department of the Marine has no function in this matter. I have, however, asked the Dublin Port and Docks Board to provide the Deputy with details of its latest proposals for landscaping and tree planting in the port area together with a report of works undertaken to date in that regard.
