Vol. 439 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

39 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a home improvement/new house grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application relates to a house improvement grant. Where, in a case such as this, the improvement works are carried out by the applicant to a house he owns, it is a condition of the grants scheme that the works be done by employees of the applicant and that their tax details are provided to the Department. The applicant has not provided these details and, accordingly, a grant cannot be allowed to him.
