Vol. 439 No. 2

Written Answers. - Electromagnetic Fields.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

81 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the guidelines which exist for the minimum permitted levels of exposure of electromagnetic fields for agricultural produce and livestock.

Under the Radiological Protection Act, 1991, functions relating to non-ionising radiation may be conferred on the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland by the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications. I understand that no specific guidelines are in existence at the moment.
