Question:90 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in processing registration of title for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that an application on behalf of the person referred to by the Deputy was lodged in the Land Registry on 12 June 1990. The application is under section 49 of the Registration of Titles Act, 1964, i.e. registration of title acquired by possession. Such dealings, in the ordinary course, take some time to process. I understand however, that the application is now ready for completion in the Land Registry but that certain matters must first be resolved in the Land Commission.
