Vol. 439 No. 7

Written Answers. - Glenville (Cork) Garda Residence.

Liam Burke

Question:

62 Mr. L. Burke asked the Minister for Justice when the residence at Glenville Garda Station will be vacant, to facilitate the Garda authorities in filling the vacancy for a Garda at that station.

As I stated in my response to question No. 67 on Thursday, 10 February 1994, I am informed by the Garda authorities that it is intended to fill the vacancy at Glenville. Applications for the vacancy are currently under consideration and a placement is expected in the near future.

The fact that the Garda residence in Glenville is currently occupied by a recently retired member of the force has no bearing on the question of filling the Glenville vacancy.
