Vol. 439 No. 7

Written Answers. - Fair Trade Commission.

John Bruton

Question:

63 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice the action, if any, she intends to take in relation to the recommendation of the Fair Trade Commission to review the system of taxation and rules on court costs.

The position is that these recommendations of the Fair Trade Commission would require legislation. As I have already indicated in this House, I could not undertake to indicate, by way of reply to parliamentary questions, what specific legislative proposals I might have in a particular area. Any proposals I may have in relation to the subject matter of the question will be announced in the normal way in due course.
