Question:

91 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of farmers who had TB outbreaks in their herds in areas (details supplied) in County Meath for each year from 1978 to 1981; the number of animals slaughtered as a result of these breakdowns; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Statistical information on TB for the years in question was recorded on a county and national basis only and is not available in the format requested. The numbers of herds restricted in the years 1978 to 1981, inclusive, in County Meath were 491, 362, 499 and 386 respectively. For the same years the numbers of reactors removed were 975, 739, 945 and 716.
