303 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the regulations for the laying down of poisons on public lands for the purpose of animal game control.
The laying of poison on lands is governed by Section 14 of the Protection of Animals (Amendment) Act, 1965, Section 34 of the Wildlife Act, 1976, Regulation 3 of the European Communities (Wildlife Act, 1976) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986 (S.I. No. 254 of 1986) and Regulation 5 of the Poisons (Prohibition of the Use of Certain Substances for Agriculture Purposes) Regulations, 1991 (S.I. No. 361 of 1991).
