Question:

74 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the last recruitment examination for various clerical grades into the Civil Service including clerical officer, clerical assistant, clerical assistant data entry and other such grades; the number appointed to each grade; the highest candidate number interviewed for each grade; the number appointed to each grade in Dublin and outside Dublin; and when the next recruitment examination will take place.

The competitions referred to are held by the Civil Service Commission from whom the following details have been obtained.

Clerical Assistant 5/91

*Applicants up to and including place 1962 who had expressed an interest in an appointment to certain provincial locations were also called for interview.
