222 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry whether he intends to introduce a new sheep scab order; if he will liaise with interested groups in advance of drafting the order; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I intend to introduce a new sheep scab order to comply with the arrangements for sheep dipping agreed in the Programme for Competitiveness and Work. My Department has already met the farm organisations on the issue and will consult with other interested parties as soon as possible. I hope to have the full agreement of all groups before finalising the order.
