Question:49 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the total number of used motor vehicles imported into Ireland in each of the years 1982, 1983, 1992 and 1993.

The information requested by the Deputy is not yet available for 1993.
The total number of used cars imported into Ireland was 272 in 1982, 470 in 1983 and 9,713 in 1992. These figures exclude vehicles brought into the country by their owners on transfer of residence from abroad.
