Vol. 441 No. 8

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John O'Leary

Question:

120 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when his Department will issue a reply to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry on correspondence submitted four months ago to his office in Castlebar, County Mayo regarding an application for payment of cattle headage and premia; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A reply will be issued to the person named in regard to correspondence on his application for headage and premia payments within the next week.

John Browne

Question:

121 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim has not received payment of cow suckler for the years 1992 and 1993.

The person named was not an applicant under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme and therefore has not established automatic quota rights.

He applied for premium on 4 cows under the 1993 suckler cow scheme. He cannot be paid any suckler cow premium for 1993 as he has no quota. My Department has no record of an application from him for rights from the national reserve.
