Question:

138 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made to have the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12, reviewed; if he will ensure that this person who is in need of dental treatment and is on a waiting list despite the fact that he is in pain will be dealt with immediately; and if he will have arrangements made for spectacles to be provided for this person who is a medical card holder.

The provision of dental and optical treatment for medical card holders in Dublin 12 is the responsibility of the Eastern Health Board in the first instance and I have referred this matter to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board for his immediate attention and direct reply to you.
