Question:

182 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13 who received suspect Anti D serum will be paid for the medical costs incurred to date; the way in which this person will be paid in future to meet ongoing medical costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The screening of people under the national screening programme for hepatitis C is being carried out free of charge.

All treatment for people diagnosed as having the hepatitis C virus under the national screening programme is being provided free of charge in public hospitals.
