50 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for the Environment the date of application, progress to date and likely outcome of an application for a new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. Stagg)

The application was received on 3 November 1993. Since then, an inspector from the Department visited the house but could not gain access as the house was unoccupied. A further inspection, with a view to payment of the grant, has been arranged.
