Vol. 443 No. 7

Written Answers. - Edenderry (Offaly) Castle.

Mary Harney

Question:

184 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if funding will be provided from the current round of Structural Fund allocations to Grange Castle, Edenderry, County Offaly, to undertake the restoration and preservation of the castle as an essential part of our national heritage; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Deputy will, I am sure, appreciate that there are very many worthy projects in addition to Grange Castle which have been put forward for financing from Structural Funds. All these projects are being considered and the final list of projects will be available in due course.
