231 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education if she will provide a resource teacher for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 12 in view of the fact that this school has the same difficulties as the girls' school at the same location.
There are three national schools located in the area referred to by the Deputy. Two of them have special classes for pupils with mild mental handicap and I presume that the Deputy has in mind the allocation of a similar facility to the third school.
In that connection, no application for a resource teacher or a special class has been received from the school in question. Should such an application be submitted to my Department, the matter will be fully considered.
