Vol. 443 No. 7

Written Answers. - Carndonagh (Donegal) Sewerage Scheme.

Patrick D. Harte

Question:

85 Mr. Harte asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the need to improve the sewerage system in Carndonagh, County Donegal, which is polluting a local river which flows into Trawbreagh Bay; and if he will make moneys available towards the necessary works to be carried out.

Patrick D. Harte

Question:

94 Mr. Harte asked the Minister for the Environment the up-to-date position in relation to the sewerage scheme of Carndonagh, County Donegal; if his attention has been drawn to the urgency of the scheme; and if he will sanction the scheme without further delay.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 85 and 94 together.

A revised preliminary report for the scheme has been received and is under examination. The question of funding is being considered in the context of the 1994-99 Operational Programme for Environmental Services.
