Vol. 445 No. 8

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Michael Ring

Question:

18 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education if she will accede to a request from parents in the Glenamoy area to have the present school transport arrangements reverted to the original catchment boundaries that existed for the last twenty years. [1071/94]

The catchment boundaries of the schools in the area in question have not been changed. However, in order to cater for the population patterns of eligible pupils and to deliver a cost-effective service, some changes have been made in relation to pick-up points. I do not propose to alter these arrangements.
