44 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Education the proposals, if any, she has to grant permission for new premises for Scoil Triest, Lota, Glanmire, County Cork; and when this permission will be granted. [1038/94]

Question:

132 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education when she will approve the construction of new premises for Scoil Triest, Lota, County Cork, at the premises of the Brothers of Charity, Lota; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [161/94]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 44 and 132 together.

My Department has received proposals from the board of management of Scoil Triest the building of a new school. My Department's inspector for special schools has been asked for a report regarding these proposals. The matter will be further considered on receipt of this report and the board of management will be informed of any decision reached at the earliest possible. date.
