212 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Defence the present strength of the Western Command band based at the Custume Barracks, Athlone, County Westmeath; the strength of this band at 1 January in each of the years 1990, 1985, 1980, 1975 and 1970; and the proposals, if any, he has to continue and expand this band. The present strength of the Band of the Western Command is 36. Details of the strength on 1 January in each of the years mentioned are as follows: 1990, 37; 1985, 38; 1980, 36; 1975, 38; and 1970, 31. There are no proposals at present to expand the band.
