Vol. 446 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

228 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a grant for a cattle shed under the farm improvement programme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1859/94]

I expect that payment will be made within the next two-three weeks.

Jim Higgins

Question:

229 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of the first instalment of a grant for a slatted house in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [1980/94]

All claims under the farm improvement programme are processed in order of receipt. This person's file was received in my Department's office in Cavan on 16 September. Payments are normally made within six-eight weeks of receipt and I expect that payment in this case will be made within that period.
