249 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will have arrangements made for the payment of grants for greyhound kennels under the operational programme of EU Structural Funds; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2230/94]

A scheme of grant aid for investments in greyhound kennels has been included in the operational programme for agriculture, rural development and forestry, which is under negotiation with the European Commission. I expect those negotiations to be finalised shortly.
