Question:63 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment when he will provide finance for the proposed Castletownbere new sewerage scheme in County Cork. [1764/94]
Written Answers. - Castletownbere (Cork) Sewerage.
The question of funding for this scheme, and for water and sewerage projects generally, has to be considered in the context of the resources available under the National Development Plan. The high level of existing commitments and the demands of schemes already prioritised for investment account for all finance available to the water services programme at present. It is not possible therefore to provide funding for this scheme at this stage. However, the position will be regularly reviewed during the period of the National Development Plan.
