137 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Health the action, if any, he intends to take to deal with the situation arising in the courts in relation to the hearing of hearsay or video-taped evidence from children in view of the Circuit Court judgment on this matter; and whether he intends introducing legislative measures to deal with this. I presume the Deputy is referring to recent media coverage of a case before the Dublin Circuit Court.

The issues raised are being examined by my Department in consultation with the Department of Equality and Law Reform and details of any necessary action will be announced in due course.
