Question:

163 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will provide a place on the suckler cow and ewe premium quota review groups for the United Farmers Association; whether places are restricted to partners of the Programme for Competitiveness and Work only; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2926/94]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 87, 157, 158 and 163 together.

The suckler cow and ewe premium quota review groups were established pursuant to a commitment in the Programme for Competitiveness and Work and membership of the groups is confined to representatives of organisations which are party to the programme.

I am satisfied that the livestock sector is adequately represented on the Groups.
