185 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment when approval will be given for the construction of a fire station on a site at Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, in view of the fact that Kilbeggan station plays a vital and strategic role in the fire fighting services in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. While there was preliminary correspondence between the local authority and my Department in this case some time ago, no proposal has since been received from the local authority.
