Question:

90 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education the number of primary schools in County Louth which have disadvantaged area status. [1715/95]

A total of eight primary schools in County Louth are currently included in the disadvantaged areas scheme.

All the schools in question receive supplementary capitation funding at the rate of £17 per pupil.

Five of the schools have an additional ex-quota concessionary teaching post and one school has been allocated two such posts.
