Question:145 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Justice if she will request the Land Registry to expedite the application for a transfer of land (details supplied). [1925/95]
Written Answers. - Transfer of Land.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application in question, which is an application for registration under Section 49 of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, i.e. registration of title acquired by possession, was lodged in the Land Registry on 26 July 1994. I understand that due to their complicated nature, such dealings usually take some time to process.
I am further informed that a query regarding the application issued to the applicant's solicitors on 27 January 1995 to which an answer is awaited. I understand that the application will be processed as quickly as possible on receipt of the requisite information.
