201 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he will make available the results of a feasibility study carried out to examine the possibility of developing a bio-fuel industry in Ireland. [2042/95]
My Department has sponsored evaluations of various aspects of bio-fuels. For example, under the EU ALTENER programme, Teagasc, in co-operation with other parties is evaluating the use of vegetable oil as a diesel extender/replacement in vehicle fleets in Ireland. However, the Department has no information on a study of the kind referred to by the Deputy.
